4 stars for their chocolate chip hazelnut good! Love that they use hazelnut flour in this. It's a bit on the pricey side ($8) and has lots of salt on top but I just dusted that off. It does have a more cake like texture but I enjoyed it Their brunch is also great (I went a couple years ago and want to come back). Super cute ambiance. Try the buckwheat crepe!

The interior of the restaurant was beautiful! We absolutely adored the high ceilings. All the staff were so so so patient, nice, helpful, and did not bother us at all. We came for brunch at 2pm and stayed past 4pm and nobody rushed us throughout our entire meal. Everyone was so kind and they even took pictures for us! The aesthetics of the restaurant were perfect for our birthday brunch vibes! Food wise, their desserts are the star of the show! The cookies are just as good as everyone says. They are so gooey and soft on the inside, and perfectly baked and topped with sea salt. We loved the melted chocolate inside the cookies. The vanilla ice cream inside the Profiteroles Au Chocolat dessert was also so refreshing. Plus the dark warm chocolate drizzle was fun to watch and videotape! A great compliment to the rich milk chocolate cookies. The fresh fruit cake was so good because it had apples and I love apple flavored desserts, tho it was a little bit on the sweeter side. They also gave us a free sorbet for my friend's birthday! Entrees wise, everything was alright. I got the salmon toast, and it was good. The bread was a little hard to cut (to be fair I was cutting with their standard butter knife lol), but the salmon itself was super fresh! Nothing that special about their food tho. They are definitely known for their desserts!! 10/10 recommend. We all had an amazing experience, thanks to the delicious sweets and wonderful staff.

There are so many options for brunch in NYC but I wanted to be whisked away to the cafes of Paris & La Mercerie did just that! From the chic & elegant ambiance to the scalloped plates and dreamy arched entrance, I felt like I was brunching in France. The buckwheat crepe with Parisian ham was savory and comforting and the croissants were flakey and buttery. The coffees are served in the prettiest cups & matching saucers and even came with a bowl of sugar cubes. Appreciate all the little touches that make this such a dreamy place to brunch!

My mother and I had dinner here to celebrate our birthdays in April and all I can say is wow!! The restaurant is so pretty. We loved the setting, lighting and ability to stroll inside Roman and Williams. Everything on the table including the candlesticks, plates and napkins was for sale! The service was impeccable and the entire staff went overboard to make my mom's 85th birthday special from the complimentary champagne, to the extra dessert and dessert wine, it was an evening and meal to remember! My mother started with the Betteraves vinaigrette (beets) and I had Notew Salade de Tomatoes (mixed heirloom tomatoes). The beets were definitely the better dish of the two. For the main course, my Mom had the Halibut au Beurre Blanc. It was a lovely dish and the halibut was perfectly cooked. I'm not generally a meat eater but decided to have the Filet de Boeuf au Poivre and it was superb! The meat was perfectly cooked and the dish was bursting with flavor. For dessert, we had the Profiteroles au chocolate, which were great, but the standout dessert was the Mille-Feuille a la noisette. It was superb and both came with candles to celebrate our birthdays. The staff went above and beyond to make our evening extra special and memorable. We loved everything about the lecture evening

The food here was amazingly delicious but I do have to say it's very small portions for the price. Nevertheless I did know that from before reservations and I knew what was expected so it didn't bother me. I did come here for a birthday brunch and it was just as beautiful as I thought. The ambiance is elegant with beautiful tableware and furniture as it's inside a furniture store. The aesthetics is immaculate. The service was great and cocktails were so delicious. Although a pricey restaurant I do recommend a brunch for a special occasion. Their cookie is worth the hype !

The ambiance is amazing! If you want to feel like you're dining in a fine Parisian establishment, you should visit La Mercerie. Highlights from dinner - the tartare and the desserts! I loved the mix of textures and flavors in the tartare. As for the desserts, you must get the hot chocolate profiteroles! So comforting and decadent. We also ordered the hazelnut Mille-feuille puff pastry. Fantastic flavors. I asked if they serve the famous cookies at dinner time, but they said they don't :( I'll just have to visit in the day next time! We also ordered the oxtail over pasta and Aperol spritz. Photos attached. This restaurant also doubles as a dinnerware and furniture shop. If you go during the day, I'm sure you could stroll through after a nice meal. One note of caution: please choose to sit indoors and avoid the outdoor dining area. We sat inside by the windows and caught a rat climbing up and down the branches that are part of the restaurant decor and next to a few dinner tables. No one was sitting outside but I can imagine being terrified if I was out there.

10/10 ambiance 9/10 food (perfect pastries, bread, and crepes) 5/10 price (I'm not cheap but some of these items' prices are questionable. especially their coffees and teas)

We had a lovely Sunday brunch at La Mercerie. The restaurant is beautiful and airy, and the food was delicious. It misses 5 stars for me because of the portions for the price.
